Saturday, June 24 - Lomas Men vs. Llandybie (Wales)

- Saturday, June 24: The Meraloma Men will play a friendly match against Llandybie RFC, a touring side from Wales. Llandybie is the home club of Dan Wigley, our friend and teammate who was a core member of the Loma Men's Premier team before he died in a tragic accident at age 29 in 2021. We look forward to hosting Llandybie.
The game kicks off at 2:30pm at Prince of Wales Secondary School field (2250 Eddington Drive in Vancouver, a 5-minute drive south of the Meraloma Club)
Following the game, we will host Llandybie at the Meraloma Clubhouse for food and drink -- all of our friends, alumni and sponsors are encouraged to join us! There will be a whole roast lamb on a spit, as well as Greek-style roast pork and BBQ chicken, with salads and sides for $10 a plate. After dinner, we will have music and socializing with our new Welsh friends. It will be a big day at the club, and a great way to remember our dear friend Wigs.
