Rugby Playoffs - April 15

This weekend: Book this Saturday, April 15 on your calendar and come out to cheer on the Lomas in playoff action!
The Loma Men's Premier team finished the season in 3rd place, after some great wins, including a 32-31 upset victory last month over the UBC team that finished in 1st place, and a strong 25-15 win over Burnaby Lake RFC to close out the season. The Lomas Premiers will host Castaway Wanderers in the quarterfinals this weekend while the Lomas' 3rds will host SFU in a quarterfinal match-up.

Both games will now be played at Klahanie Park at 1910 Glenaire Drive in West Vancouver, the home field of Capilano RFC (1pm and 2:30pm game times).

The Loma Men's 2nd team, the Premier Reserves, had their first playoff game last week, with a big 40-7 win over the Kelowna Crows. This weekend, the Loma Reserves travel to the Island to face the Port Alberni Black Sheep in the second round of the playoffs.
The Loma Women's team is also coming off a very strong season, with their 2nd-place finish earning them a bye this weekend, straight into the semi-finals on Saturday, April 22.
Also -- the annual Loma Rugby Awards Banquet is coming up on the night of Saturday, April 15, beginning at 7pm at The Loft at Earls Yaletown, 1095 Mainland Street in Vancouver. The event is open to Loma alumni, fans, friends, coaches, volunteers and players -- you can buy tickets online here.
